CCM picks 12 for Eala seats

Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has picked 12 aspirants to vie for six tanzania seats in the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA).

Speaking to journalist today in Dar es Salaam, CCM secretary for ideology and publicity, Mr Humphrey Polepole, said the list has been approved by the party's Central Committee and its parliamentary caucus.

"The list has considered equal representation from Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar as well as women representation,” Mr Polepole said at party sub offices along Lumumba Road in Dar es Salaam.

The approved candidates from Mainland are Ngwalu Maghembe, Adam Kimbisa, Anamlinga Macha and Makongoro Nyerere.

Others are Zainab Kawawa, Happiness Mgalula, Fancy Nkuhi and Happiness Lugiko.

Candidates from Zanzibar are Mr Abdalla Makame, Mohamed Nuh, Maryam Yahya and Rabia Hamid.
