Mwanza names teams for regional league

The association’s league coordinator, Haidary Abdul said the list includes both new and old clubs.

The teams, according to the coordinator, are Bugando Profile, Bugando Planets, Bugando Heats, Butimba Spiders, St Augustine university of Tanzania (SAUT), College of Health and Allied Sciences(CUHAS), Mwanza Eagles, Brandon Force St Francis and Dolphins.

According to him, the matches will be played during weekends because most of the players are college students; hence can not manage to play in week days.

Adding, he said three venues have been picked for the league and named them as Butimba Teachers Training College (T.T.C), Bank of Tanzania (BOT) and St Augustine University of Tanzania.

Abdul said the regional league will be used to select the Mwanza regional team ‘Mwanza Heroes’ which will participate in the forth coming Taifa Cup.
